saving you a click: They’re using this to detect if you have Creative Cloud already installed when you visit on their website.

They used to just hit http://localhost:<various ports>/cc.png which connected to your Creative Cloud app directly, but then Chrome started blocking Local Network Access, so they had to do this hosts file hack instead

so, things that influence sleep detection so far:
- microphone input
- accelerometer
- heart rate

I discovered a new weirdness about my sleep tracker, and at this point I'm impressed it worked in the first place, it was pure luck

so, if I don't have the heart rate widget in the watch face, it's not reading that as much, and so is unable to immediately detect sleep

a couple weeks ago I removed that from there because I wanted something else, and it's been working weird since then. I restored it now

tbh that's part of the thing, apart from my girlfriends, the irl spaces I'm in where I speak those languages are mostly not that comfy to me anyway
