but yes, even beyond the homebrew interest, I feel the fact that they can't depend on Apple or Google tracking network and require its own internet uplink makes them less of an option... for starters, it means they're a lot more expensive. this device I just flashed costed me just 6€ + the coin battery

now, that was only a first test, theres things still left to be done: - try to figure out automatic key rotation - transfer all the stuff I did through the terminal to an actual script that runs periodically and stores the location in traccar - test the rest of tags (I can flash them already, but I don't have their batteries yet, since they use some weird ones)
