27 Clichéd transfem. Poly cuddle slut. Nonsexual little. Frequent meower. Kinky pervert. I pee myself a lot. I reject my own dignity.
I contribute code somewhere, but I forgot where.
I like to be referred to as "kitten" or "little one". You can do that if you want and it'll make me happy but it's not a requirement (also don't use the latter in adult contexts)

rambling about software and my fediverse clientokay, so, let's discuss how to build this
a fediverse post has two sets of emojis associated to them: the emojis that are in the content of the post, and the ones in the reactions to the post
in my app's database, I have two main tables for that, PostEntity, and EmojiEntity. it's an N:M relationship, so I have an auxiliary table called PostEmojiCrossRef with just two columns, postId, and emojiId
now, notice that even though we mentioned two sets of emojis, they're all stored together, with no distinction.
this is causing me a problem for a very simple reason: in the post's content, an emoji is only identified by its shortcode (like :foo:). but in the reactions, it's identified by a combination of shortcode@instance, since we could have two different reactions from different instances with the same shortcode for different emojis
this is an issue because rn when loading them, all the emojis are piled into a map with the structure shortcode -> emojiData. so when I'm processing the post text, it's easy to navigate the map by just looking for the shortcode I need at that moment as the key. but now that I'm displaying the reactions, I need to look for shortcode@instance, which obviously isn't in the map
now, I have two solutions:
the easy one, make that map always use shortcode@instance as keys, and when processing posts' text, always append the post author's instance to the shortcode in the text (since it'll never be any other instance)
that'd be pretty simple, but I'm also thinking that it might be better to just have two maps, one for the post emojis, still using the shortcodes, and another one for the reactions, using shortcode@instance as keys
kink lifestyle@lianna yeah, same... I do consider myself to be in a pretty comfortable position when it comes to that, and try to be more open about it (and I'm happy about it! multiple people have expressed to me how positive that's been for them), but yes, I'd be in big trouble if some people decided to make my life harder using that.
also, tbh I try to surround myself with like-minded people as well anyway, in a way other people just don't feel as interesting for me anymore
kink lifestyleoh, also, this applies to more than pics and that stuff
I have mommy saved as "Mommy (name)" in Telegram. no one has ever asked about it, probably because not nosing around is what is expected from people, and to avoid asking if they do end up noticing
there's some people to whom I've expressed my desire for them to not see and read my social networking profiles. I expect them to respect that, even if they accidentally find them
learning to expect boundaries to be respected and to not be scared of holding people accountable when they don't is one of the things I'm more happy to have learned early on. although to be fair, this also comes from the fact that I consider very few people to hold a meaningful amount of power or leverage over me.
kink lifestyleI'm also happy of my kinky preferences being known to the people I consider close to me, even if they don't participate in it, and not having to care about if they end up noticing any small detail related to that
- I refer to my ageplay as "kink" even if I prefer it to be non-sexual. both because I don't consider kink to be inherently sexual, and also because it's usually convenient when it comes to describing myself and to find community
discussing my littlenessfacts about me (just as clarification, not because I'm annoyed or anything):
- me being little doesn't represent me being a different person, it's still me
- I do refer to myself in that mood as "little me", as if it was a different person, but that's just a convenient way of expressing my feelings or desires in that headspace
- me being in that headspace is not something involuntary (there's situations or people that encourage it and make me more comfortable to do so, but still)
- when I'm acting little, I'm still an adult. I might ask to be treated like I'm not because it's nice and it makes me happy, but I'm still an adult
