kink lifestyle
you can create a separated user in your phone so you can have all your kinky stuff stored in there and not in your main user
I can't imagine having to do that :blobwtfnotlikethis:

kink lifestyle I'm also happy of my kinky preferences being known to the people I consider close to me, even if they don't participate in it, and not having to care about if they end up noticing any small detail related to that

kink lifestyle oh, also, this applies to more than pics and that stuff

I have mommy saved as "Mommy (name)" in Telegram. no one has ever asked about it, probably because not nosing around is what is expected from people, and to avoid asking if they do end up noticing

there's some people to whom I've expressed my desire for them to not see and read my social networking profiles. I expect them to respect that, even if they accidentally find them

learning to expect boundaries to be respected and to not be scared of holding people accountable when they don't is one of the things I'm more happy to have learned early on. although to be fair, this also comes from the fact that I consider very few people to hold a meaningful amount of power or leverage over me.

kink lifestyle @kitten

I totally agree, I handle my lifestyle the same way.

Everyone I know knows that I'm kinky, to various degrees of detail. It's just a part of my normal identity, and - not that that should matter - not even remotely sexual.

It's just part of my regular, public romantic relationship dynamic, similar to regular public affection vanilla people show each other. If someone has a problem with me ruffling my girlfriend's hair or her wearing a collar, that person can move their traditionalist ass out of my life.

I'm lucky to only have friends who are kinky and/or tolerant themselves to a degree where it's normal that my girlfriend might wear a collar, be nonverbal and eat out of a bowl at a regular friendly gettogether or movie night. It's just comfortable and cosy to not have to hide and play pretend.

kink lifestyle @kitten I just wish we didn't live in a world where having wholesome kink dynamics and stuff like a littlespace are practically social suicide though if revealed to a more general audience.

If someone contacted my employer about my identity, or if it made the news for some culture war reason, I'd still lose my job and livelihood.

Even if it hurts absolutely nobody.

I can't be a public employee, a local politician or higher profile activist for those reasons. If some right-wing media finds out (easily) that I have different relationship dynamics to the National German Norm, and does a "reveal piece" on me, scandalising that a left-wing activist has their girlfriend wear a collar 24/7 or live in a dog cage, or let alone have a littlespace (think of the imaginary non-involved children!), that'd make nationwide "freak news" or something and hurt the entire movement and my life.

kink lifestyle @kitten I mean, it happened quite recently. Some neoliberal/libertarian local politician got dragged through the nationwide news cycle with videos of him licking a toilet seat for some online blackmail kink mistress.

I detest that guy's politics, but he didn't deserve that whole circus for some victimless, entirely ordinary freakiness. I was very disappointed when fellow leftists dragged that guy through the mud and joined the hate campaign. It could be any of us. It's the equivalent of revenge porn.

kink lifestyle @lianna yeah, same... I do consider myself to be in a pretty comfortable position when it comes to that, and try to be more open about it (and I'm happy about it! multiple people have expressed to me how positive that's been for them), but yes, I'd be in big trouble if some people decided to make my life harder using that.

also, tbh I try to surround myself with like-minded people as well anyway, in a way other people just don't feel as interesting for me anymore
