the guard at the security check stopped me because I was carrying a knife (as a set of cutlery) and probably saw that I'm carrying diapers

(no big deal, and she didn't say anything)

(also didn't take my knife because it's less than 6cm)

((tbh I totally didn't consider that could be an issue))

diapers, lifestyle adding to this, I just have quite assumed that me just preferring diapers and deciding to act on it means this stuff might happen sometimes. it's just part of it, and nothing to worry about.

and even in the case that someone dares to comment on it, I'm the one who has done nothing wrong, and a simple "I just need them" should be more than enough of an answer

diapers, lifestyle @kitten I think that's why most people would refrain from commenting - they know that in all likelihood, they're the ones who will feel embarrassed at the end of the conversation.

diapers, lifestyle @lis yeah. like, it'd also be so easy to just answer with a "that's quite rude to ask" and like

it'd be true. what do you answer other than "I'm sorry"

diapers, lifestyle @kitten yup. This is prime "you'll hear about this from your supervisor" material, and they know that.

mean, diapers @kitten oh actually I wanted to ask you something: did your bag arrive with you in the end, or did they see the contents and decided “this bag is going straight to London padding ton”?

@kitten ye, this is a general idea i tell others about when theyre nervous about the logistics of 24/7. incontinence is extremely common, more than people realize- like 10% of people iirc- and security guards etc etc are used to this. no one will make a fuss about it, theyll just assume it's a medical need and move on (and it is fine for it to not be a medical need, also, but im too sleepy to write out more about that point)

@kitten My job sent me to a secure area and the guard there checked my bag. "Hows your kid doing?"
"Kid? What kid?"
"Well, I saw the diapers..."
"Those are mine. I do like to change in to a fresh one from time to time."
guard turns quite red

@kitten Heh, I've collected a few funny and/or interesting stories from a life time of still being in diapers.
