kudos to whoever decided at the og Android team that rotating the device should destroy the current activity instead of just asking it to handle the change like every other OS and framework ever
@kitten you may handle that better or worse, but it forces the app to throw everything away and do it all over, even if you can choose widgets to alleviate the situation
