there's no Unicode equivalent to ​:neocat_aww:​ and I think that says a lot about the world we live in

@kitten I have maintained for years that 😺 should be a valid modifier to any person emoji and that coat patterns should be describable using colors and block elements to determine how the colors are distributed.

Sadly the Unicode consortium has stopped responding to my emails
