re: sex toys @kitten my opinion as someone who has uh, slightly too many, some of them running custom firmware, is that at least I absolutely need the full power of something like a Doxy - the smaller, cheaper ones just aren't strong enough to do much for me

the only thing I'm aware of that offers that in portable form is the Doxy Die Cast R (not the smaller Doxy Die Cast 3R!), but it comes with the catch that it can't be used while plugged in, the batteries only last for about an hour, and having it die and having to wait for it to recharge is not my idea of the fun kind of edging

re: sex toys @kitten @erincandescent ah yeah, it's a direct clone of the original Hitachi with the electricals adjusted for the European power grid

I've never actually seen one (just the US model), everyone I know just went for the Doxy Original, which is also a Hitachi clone, but less plasticky and easier to obtain for basically the same price (at least back when I last looked at them)

then the Doxy Die Cast came out and is just slightly nicer all around, mostly by being just top heavy enough to be usable hands free, and I swear I'm not being sponsored by Doxy, I just happen to need a lot of force and I've gone through half the dang sex toy market looking for things that actually work for me

like uh, big buttons that are easier to use with shaky fingers, and some attempt at not getting them gummed up if they come in contact with fluids)

re: sex toys @embr @kitten thank you! Finally got myself a magic wand, in part because of this post. Though a very different one (Fun Factory VIM) since my needs are quite different.
Happy with it so far!

(I don't edge for hours, and I don't like high-frequency vibrations - or very strong vibrations generally, so the main benefits of the Doxy don't really apply to me).
