so, if we ever meet irl and see me refer to you with they/them when it's not what you use, very much assume that I just forgot the proper way to refer to you, and feel free to tell me :neocat_laugh_sweat:

Pah.. I had a date I met from okcupid yesterday.. and I just opened the app when she was doing something else for 10 secs to see if she was comfortable with talking about kinky stuff or if I should hold back..

I usually just tell people that I forgot or that they should always correct me.. or what other quirks my brain comes up with and that it has nothing to do with them 🙈

@kitten i do it the same way, but i've been yelled at before for doing that, i was expected to know the pronouns of someone i have never met or interacted with (how to immediately make me want it to stay that way if there isn't even a correction but just "stop misgendering" - i'm using neutral pronouns when i'm just not sure and until someone tells me).
