i think my Pixel 8a with GrapheneOS will be my last phone

not just because it is very good in almost every aspect, but because if it ever breaks i will just not buy a new phone

phone's suck, a small laptop with an LTE modem would be much more useful and healthy to carry with me all day because the barrier to opening it is a lot higher since i have it in my backpack instead of my pocket

i dont want to look at a screen every time i dont know what to do, i want to escape the electronic anaesthesia they put us in

@kitten @alina haven't tested yet but www.srlabs.de/blog-post/blue-merle available via gl.inet and nitrokey; most models seem to be cat4, but the quectel chip exists in cat6 as well afaict; a review link appreciated if you get to try:)

@kitten sadly not, but i still have to read this rather long thread about framework people trying to come up with a design for a modem expansion card
