dmiException 🎃 --> eth0 @domi@donotsta.re

i have one AP with hacked openwrt-ish firmware that only exposes ssh. and for whatever reason I don’t have my pubkey added there (maybe it doesn’t support ed25519? it’s old, i need to use PuTTY to get into it)

i need to log on there maybe twice a year, and
every time i forget the password. literally every time it takes me 15-20 tries to figure out “which stupid password I used for this 2 years ago”.

and when i get it i’m greeted with the funniest MOTD for the situation i was just in, so i never bother to change the password. cycle repeats

@kitten only for local devices/network appliances! reasoning is, i may need to get into here to fix my network, and in an extreme case i may not have access to a password manager. the less circular dependencies the better

@domi hmmmm fair enough, although at this point I do rely on bitwarden always storing a local cache on all my devices
