Since I'll be in Europe for a bit - I'm considering getting myself a #Fairphone 6, specifically with the goal of transitioning to #postmarketOS full-time with it. Does anyone here have experience with running it on there? I've been enjoying it on my OPO6T but the extra CPU speed sounds like it might be worth it, plus I like the company . . .
@pojntfx no experience with that yet, but I was in a similar position as you, and I was actually considering the Fairphone 5, since the specs aren't that different, and there's (Linux) software more stable for it already
@kitten@creepy_owlet Re:inductive charging ... maybe someone can make a mod for that? My main gripes with the FP6 is the lack of DP alt mode (no convergence), no proper waterproofing, and I guess now no inductive charging ...
@creepy_owlet@kitten I'm sure there are valid reasons for it not having waterproofing, but I'm ngl this doesn't help the whole anti-right to repair argument of "well, the phone isn't repairable, but it breaks less in the first place because it's waterproof"
