@kitten hmm, the schedule may vary depending on dates but bahn.expert is suggesting the option of Barcelona -[AVE]> Lyon -[TGV]> Bruxelles -[ICE]> Köln -> Koblenz, which could even be cheaper for Interrail than the route involving the Paris–Köln Eurostar...

@kitten hm, I suppose you could take the night train up to Köln, arriving 6:08, and then take one of the frequent IC/RE connections to Koblenz? slightly more sleep, and you could go sightseeing in Köln for a bit or something

@mei yeah, I guess... feels a bit wasteful considering that night train actually even stops in Koblenz :neocat_laugh_sweat:

I could actually get there on a single day, but via Paris, which sounds boring

@kitten I’d like to visit you and do some new lines both ways. The line via CDG is still missing on my map, so I can do that one way, but the other way I’m clueless

@lis in my case it's more of a "yeah I could get there via a night train and that way I can save one hotel night, but that'd mean arriving either at 5am, which is not very convenient, or at 14h, which would make me lose half a day already"
