M-30 tunnel in Madrid for instance I know has a massive separate service tunnel for emergencies, I saw a picture and it was neat

@kitten When the last bit of metro tunnel under the inner city here was completed (roughly 20 years ago), they let people walk in it for a day or two, before the tracks were put in. That was fun.
