@kitten in NL what you get is a ticket that looks like a paper ticket but actually it contains an NFC chip which I think is pretty cool if a bit wasteful.

It's also more expensive, because of course it is it contains single use electronics.

@ayke oh yeah, we have that too! and yeah, feels a bit more wasteful... but they do push a lot of ads and stuff telling people that it's reusable even if it's paper, and to not throw it away
