TIL I could have made the trip from Barcelona to Wien via Bologna all this time! the connection works perfectly

I think in the past I checked from Milano when there were Nightjets departing from there and I couldn't. but since the one passing through Bologna starts at Rome, it arrives there late enough for me to be able to make it

I might try that at some point. going via Zürich is nice and it also gives the opportunity to hang out with some nice beings there for a bit. but going through Bologna means a new route + mini-cabins
