work, kinkif you ever felt bad for wearing a collar or something like that at your workplace, consider that I just saw someone take their shoes off in the office
lighthearted; re: work, kink@nekorvidae@kitten (as someone who walked barefoot in the city for some years, the feeling of nearly melting asphalt in the summer, rotting leaves on hard pavement and just broken glass are not super enjoyable
i mean after a while you do get pretty sturdy calluses on your feet, but they're not perfect protection)
re: lighthearted; re: work, kink@spacekatia@kitten yipp … had similar experiences in the past. Hot asphalt with glass shards on it was particularly nasty (and not too uncommon near the city centre)
Was still worth it on those warm mid-spring to early-summer days, though. (And is one of the reasons why i'm wearing "barefoot shoes".)
work, kink@kitten this reminds me of this guy who comes to uni in flip-flops, no socks, whatever the weather may be - and often removes them in class. we're still debating with friends if he has a feet kink, or instead if this is the sign of someone who does not care at all
work, kink@elsactivitypub@kitten once went to a math lecture where the regular students told me that the professor usually comes to uni barefoot. He was wearing shoes on that day though, because he had to look at least somewhat professional in the context.
