I wonder how far history classes go in other countries.

we only did up until the Spanish Civil War. I guess everything afterwards was considered too recent.

wait, no, I remember the iron curtain being mentioned in school. Italian blackshirts and Mussolini climbing to power too

but yeah, stuff in Spain? not beyond the civil war

okay, so, Spain doesn't do much modern history stuff, but from what I'm seeing we do study way older stuff

hell, I still remember being talked about the archeology stuff found in the... Trinchera del Ferrocarril? I think that was the place. Carthaginians being here and the Punic Wars definitely too.

@kitten i have a warped perspective on this because i took latin class, which includes quite a bit of ancient history, but regular history class basically moves past medieval times by 7th grade. the A-level education (last 2 years, for me it was 10th/11th grade) is exclusively post-ww2, which is also the timeframe you had to pick your final exam topic from; i.e. you are basically forced to do some kind of cold war topic. (i did the space race :>)
