@hypha@kitten they actually have to get another scanner view to read interrail passes! at least in TER, default stuff will just say "bar code unrecognized"
@hypha@kitten unfortunately not, i've even told them that "this ticket is very much valid, 5 of your colleagues, in this country and 2 others, have already told me it is today" "... oh it's an interrail pass"
@hypha@kitten if the declaration of human and civilian rights was not part of the french constitutionnal bloc, SNCF agents would be allowed to spit on interrail travelers upon ticket control tbf
@hypha on Monday I showed the wrong seat reservation to a Renfe inspector, and he only realized because the origin station was different (Narbonne and not Valence), he couldn't even tell me that that reservation was for next month (and his device did flag the ticket as ok, just the station was what got me)
I have the feeling that one they hear the correct "bing" they don't even bother checking
