Does anyone know if it’s possible to enter a Eurostar train to the UK at a later station than the one you originally reserved your seat for?

My original train to Amsterdam is cancelled, but in theory there’s a connection to Brussels that would get me there on time to check in and meet the same train there

I’m using an Interrail pass

Okay, I’m going to get on that train because it buys me some time. Worst case I can get out again at Hannover and change back to the later Amsterdam connection

I’ve emailed Eurostar* to ask what to do

(* you phone the number, you go through their endless phone menus, and then all you get is a message saying they have too many calls and can’t answer right now)

@dpk try Interrail support too, they might have some knowledge and they have proven to be quite responsive for me in the past

@dpk but yeah trying to board the same train sounds like easier than convincing them to let you on a later one, even if you'll still have to do some talking for them to let you

@kitten @dpk approaching the Eurostar station staff saying "there was chaos in Germany" should usually result in an understanding nod and support, and it's not even a capacity issue if your seat is in fact booked on this train

@lis @dpk hm, thinking back to this. HOTNAT does specify that for it to apply it must be at the station where the connection was going to happen :neocat_think:
