kink, misogyny oh, you're into 'forcefem'/'feminization'/'sissyfication'/etc.?

so, what's humiliating to you about being a woman, hm? i don't get it. why is it ridiculous to appear feminine as a man? why does it make you feel so objectified taking on the social role of a woman? what's so embarrassing about the social consequences of what essentially amounts to transitioning?

why does the idea of womanhood make you feel degraded and submissive? is there anything degrading or humiliating about femininity in your world view?

hmm, could it perhaps be that you're literally just reproducing misogyny and transphobia, and a culture where women (and especially trans women) are inherently worth less than men?

why is your porn full of misogynistic and transphobic tropes?

are you perhaps using your social privilege as a man – who can just go back to being a man at any time after getting off or if he's uncomfortable – to do 'oppression tourism' to get yourself off by imagining yourself in your victims' position for a while?

unrelated question, what's your opinion on raceplay as a white dude?
hmm. curious.

(and no, just because misogynistic objectification roleplay made some trans women realise they're trans doesn't make it any better. it's misogynistic either way and should not be celebrated.)

kink, misogyny @lianna I feel like this is the kind of debate where opening it will exclusively achieve to make every single part unhappier

kink, misogyny @kitten

that is completely correct yeah

it is one of those complicated topics that personally, i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole just for the sake of my own mental health. until i decide to write a post about it for reasons unknown

kink, misogyny @kitten it just messes up my mental health every time i see other transfem people reproducing misogyny and generally being icky, it very much plays into the reasons i originally detransitioned back then. :/ i wish i could just ignore it but every time i see a trans women basically act indistinguishably from a 4channer i die a bit inside.

and if you go deeper; the reason for
all of that is of course my own insecurity, since i very much see my (former) self in these things i criticise, which makes me feel disgusting and dysphoric, and therefore there's a lot of self loathing in there too.

kink, misogyny @lianna I understand... but it is also true that that topic specifically isn't what I was focusing on. it could be about forcefem stuff, or about any other kink, or about any other thing in general.

it's about... coming to terms with the fact that we cannot live in constant anger, regardless of how much we think things suck. we all have a duty to try to make the world a better place, but... if we're going to spend our lives in constant angst, what's the point

kink, misogyny @kitten I agree, yeah. And when I'm not so… online, it works wonderfully and I'm a much more positive person. The same people who'd have made me angry or insecure or bitter online can suddenly be people I empathise with in real life, even become my best friends or partners. And from knowing them, my real opinions somewhat change too. It's a strange phenomenon.

something about the impersonal nature of text based online communication triggers some unhealthy behaviours in me, and I'm pretty self conscious about it. Like, reading my own online posts makes it super apparent how cold and bitter and miserable I sound in writing, when irl I am super different. I don't like it :(
