I've been reading the proposed IPv8 draft and, except for the OAuth2 JWT tokens... doesn't sound like a bad idea if we consider it as a more elegant solution to the IPv4 address exhaustion than (CG)NAT.

Of course I can totally expect ISPs failing to implement IPv8 properly so migration to IPv6 should still be the target.

@fruitchypear that's not, like, a standard endorsed by anyone. a random person just decided to write it and send it to the IETF datatracker. it definitely won't be implemented by anyone
