I hated it.

To clarify why I hated it:

- My mum was a nurse during this time. She wanted PPE and support from the government, not people clapping. She watched a lot of people die during that time, the clapping did not help.

- No other key workers got any amount of respect (at least in the UK)

- People started using it to be obnoxiously loud, and also it was the
only thing they did (ie, no masking, no social distancing, etc)

@kitten The public broadcasters had a livestream set up on all the TV channels and everything to document the "spectacle", but it was so ridiculously underwhelming. Nobody was at the windows. You could hear like two people clapping and otherwise total silence lol

but now that you mentioned it... I have no idea how did it look in the media. I didn't (and don't) watch TV, and I lived by myself
