Schengen is one of the coolest most important things achieved on a European level

but it meaning one doesn't get passport stamps anymore.... it's sad

@lanodan yes but those are places further away and thus less likely to be visited in a way... France i could go visit for the day in a commuter train

@kitten Yeah, of course that depends on where you are, like from Brittany I can take a ferry to UK, Ireland, Spain.
Spain outside of length of trip is same as visiting one of the islands of Brittany, while UK means border-control with airport-like security.
And Ireland I forgot I was 5 years old only time I went there.
