okay I think after some investigation I've come to a conclusion

the connection would be doable

but the second train could arrive quite late to Köln, if it does arrive

so yeah I guess better to take the Nightjet Basel - Köln and not risk it

that leaves us with a 3h waiting time at Basel :_
