@kitten imo being good at cooking includes not relying on hyperspecific tools and most kitchen utensils are completely optional

you can be a great cook if all you have is a pot, a pan, a knife and a spatula, tools don't make good food, how you use them does

non-veg food @kitten we're usually frying our Wiener Schnitzel in a pot, because it needs a lot of boiling oil. A spatula is handy for a piece of meat.
