look, I know I'm not a good cook to start with

but I fail to imagine what could one possibly be cooking in a pot that could require the use of a spatula

@kitten why not, it's a thing that reaches into the pot without burning my paw and turns the things that are inside

@kitten don't have that and don't see why i would spend money on that when the spatula successfully does the same thing

@kitten why would i need to pick up liquid while stirring though? if i want to pick up liquid I'll get the ladle to do that, but the ladle is too big for stirring

@kitten imo being good at cooking includes not relying on hyperspecific tools and most kitchen utensils are completely optional

you can be a great cook if all you have is a pot, a pan, a knife and a spatula, tools don't make good food, how you use them does

@sammy the thing is this kitchen is shared by several peoples and some specifically need the spatula, which is then unavailable

@kitten well that's an entirely different topic and would be resolved by cleaning things right after use ._.
