getting there in one day it's not really viable, I would arrive too late (and I wanted to camp, so I also have to consider setting-up tent time)
the options seem to be either my usual night train the day before from Toulouse and getting there with plenty of time during the 6th, or spending a night in an hotel somewhere southeast France
